Hot to build a brand for an artist?

We live in times when It's not enough just to be a talented artist to be successful. Modern artists need to share many expertises traditionally associated with branding agencies. We'll go through basic steps of brand strategy development and artist's identity.

✴Main idea of your brand/music in one word?
✴What is your typical listener?
✴What is the ideal situation for listening your music?
✴What kind of emotions you would like to provoke?
✴Against what would you go to the demonstration as an artist?
✴Who are your "competitors" (similar artists or references)?
✴Create a mood-board with references of your ideal live-show, stage costume, band photo, album covers, music video.
✴Give examples of merch your would like to produce for your fans.
